All members interested in Racing should look at the SAMM Racing section, where they will find Terry Chapman's very interesting and informative report on a recent meeting with the Murcia Sailing Federation. The presentation "A 2nd Home for SAMM" given at the July meeting cannot be posted in the members area due to its size. The Mar Menor, a saltwater lake in SE Spain, is a great playground for sailors. Sailing Association Mar Menor helps solve problems in getting afloat and sailing boats here. Meetings held monthly in Los Alcazares, Murcia provide opportunities for owners to find crew for a dinghy, day sailor or larger sailboat and viceversa. There are also boat share groups of up to 10 people who share the expense of keeping and maintaining a boat here as well as learning from more experienced group members.
