CALDERO DAY
For those of you that do not know, on October 12th each year pretty much all of Los Alcazares takes to the beach and has a party!
This year, as before, SAMM along with many other groups and associations are allocated a section of beach on which we erect a marquee, sun shades, set up a BBQ, music is playing, get up in fancy dress etc. etc. SAMM will supply some food and drinks from club funds and you are welcome to bring any additional vitals you wish.
SAMM in the past has been a strong supporter of this event and this year it would be fantastic if as many SAMM members as possible joined in the fun and games. A great social event and not one you should miss.
So, for my sins SAMM has asked me to be part of the organisation on the day so please look out for information, reminders, pleas for help etc coming from myself and via SAMM website and SAMM members page.
We have in the past few years put on a small "flash mob" . This year we are having a sailors hornpipe, adapted to cater for the general age of SAMM members! Now this is NOT "Strictly Come Dancing" and I can tell you something I would not usually consider doing but I assure you that having taken part in them all, it is a lot of fun!
Please come and join in, we are looking for a dozen members of SAMM to take part in the Flash Mob. Please let me know if you are willing to have a go. Don't be shy!
Also we are looking for as many of SAMM as possible to wear white T shirts with horizontal stripes and white shorts/trousers to continue the theme.
So the date for your diary is OCT 12th, afternoon and early evening.
