This is “Fefi” – a Spanish-built “Artaban” vessel of 7m with an inboard diesel engine and all the accessories you could wish for. It is owned, run and managed by one of the SAMM boat share groups, “The MoBo Group”, to cater for those members wishing to sail motor boats. The boat is moored in Club Regatas de Mar Menor Marina, Los Urrutias and is insured and licensed to carry up to 6 people. To helm the boat RYA Powerboat Level 2 qualification is required plus a check out with a Mobo approved helm. Help can be given to obtain this qualification. For every trip “Fuel” usage is currently charged at €6 per hour of usage ie. €1 per hour per person if 6 are onboard.

Group members (2023) pay a first instalment towards the annual running costs of €225 plus annual SAMM membership fee of €30 (single) or €45 (family) in January and will pay another in June, expected to be €200 subject to review as the years costs unfold. This covers Club de Regatas quarterly charge, mooring fees, insurance & maintenance. For New members there is a modest one off “initial joining” fee (€250) plus a pro rata yearly group membership fee. and single member SAMM membership. In future years, those new members will only pay the annual running costs agreed at the Group AGM based on anticipated costs and current number of members (11) to share that cost.
