SAMM Groups

We are a boat share group of friends enjoying sailing on the Mar Menor in our four 18ft sailing boats.

The Cruising Group does not own boats but networks with owners requiring crew and always manages some exciting cruises! You can make contact with the Group by emailing Heather at: cisailing3@gmail.com

The Deltania Group has two separate boats, a 2007 Deltania 22s with a 6 hp outboard and a new 25 foot Ronautica with inboard. They are based at Los Urritias.

The most recent GROUP in SAMM was formed by members who wanted the challenge and freedom of singlehanded sailing and so a Laser standard was purchased and is regularly entered into the SAMM race days.

The MoBo Group was formed to cater for those members wishing to sail motor boats. If you wish to join this Group, please contact the Group Chairman (details below) or come to a SAMM Meeting and speak to one of the Group Committee members.

Started with one wayfarer in 2006 Shoestring now has 2 dinghies at Mar de Cristal. We cater for all levels of experience and our members come from all parts of Europe to enjoy gentle sailing or exhilarating racing on the vast expanse of the Mar Menor

SAMM has an active social scene with events throughout the year

In 2010 SAMM recognised that there was a need within the organisation for a support boat. The boat was the key to the success of the Racing Program. It has also been involved in the retrieval of the odd dinghy rudder, the placing of swinging moorings and, most importantly, a couple of rescues.
